The following form is for any Otis College student who is attending in the 20-21 Academic Year (Fall 2020 and Spring 2021) and wishes to appeal for additional financial assistance.
Special update to appeal process due to COVID-19: if you are experiencing hardship due to COVID-19, please fill out this form and select “hardship due to COVID-19”. For the required documentation section of this form, please upload any information you feel will help the committee understand your situation.
Please keep in mind that if you or your parent/guardian has had a large change in your financial situation, such as a loss of employment or loss of a family member, you may also be eligible for additional federal aid – this is a different process called an "Income Adjustment". Please review the 2020-2021 Income Adjustment Request instructions to see if you qualify.
If you would like to discuss your situation with a member of our Student Financial Services / The One Stop team, please set up a phone or zoom appointment online: https://calendly.com/otiscollegesfs
General Information about the Appeal Process
U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents:
F-1 International Students: Federal regulations require that all F-1 students show proof of financial support for tuition and living expenses to be eligible to apply for an F-1 visa and maintain F-1 status upon arrival to Otis College.
Please allow 10 business days for a decision. If additional information is required for the committee, you will be contacted by The One Stop. Scholarship funds must be used for tuition and fee expenses first. Only appeals approved under the COVID-19 Emergency Fund policy may result in refunds to assist with student living expenses.
